UNMIN chief Landgren question Prachanda regarding its faith towards peace process
June 07th 2009. - Kathmandu, Nepal – United nation mission in Nepal (UNMIN) Chief Karin Landgren has called on UCPN Maoist chief and erstwhile Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and discussed about present political situation of the country.
According to the source close to the UNMIN Landgren called on Prachanda to ask about the Maoist future strategy as the main opposition party in the parliament and its official opinion regarding the new constitution.
During the meeting she had raised question about Maoist continued strike in parliament and street. The source also claims that she suggested Prachnada to restrain the strike and be a crucial part to write the constitution in time.
In the Program Prachanda has assured the Landgren that his party is fully committed in peace process and writing constitution in time.
