KATHMANDU, June 2 - Home Minister Tuesday directed the District Administration Office to send detailed information about the hundreds of Nepalis being displaced due to excesses of Indian border security force (SSB) in Dang immediately.
Ministry Spokesperson Nabin Ghimire informed, the information has been asked in the wake of reports about the displacement in the media.
Under Secretary of the Indian department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dhananjay Jha, said works have been carried out with the coordination of the Home Ministry on the matter.
"Steps that are to be taken on diplomatic level will be finalised after the Chief District Officer submits the report," he informed.
The SSB has reportedly driven out over 2,000 residents of Rajpur, Belha and Koilabas VDCs of Dang district.
