Maoists seize former minister’s property
Cadres of Maoist affiliated All Nepal Peasants’ Organisation-Revolutionary (ANPO-R) have seized property belonging to former minister and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) leader late Rabindra Nath Sharma Friday, reports say.
The cadres seized 36 Bigahas of land and an ancestral house, located in Bhathaudiya of Ramnagar VDC in Nawalparasi, belonging to Sharma’s family.
A central member of ANPO-R Ramdhani Kewat said the seized land would be distributed to the landless. Kewat claimed he acted in line with the party’s policy to capture land and property of feudal landlords.
