KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court postponed a hearing on the retirement of eight brigadier generals of the Nepal Army following a request from the government.
The hearing, which is scheduled for Sunday, was deferred after SC received a letter from the office of the Attorney General (AG) for postponement, said brigadier generals' lawyers Tika Ram Bhattarai. A division bench of justices Tap Bahadur Magar and Mohan Prakash Sitaula were assigned to start the hearing.
Meanwhile, the apex court also postponed the hearing on the corruption case against Governor Bijay Nath Bhattarai after it received a request from Bhattarai's lawyer.
