Indian container set ablaze by Revolutionary Left Wing cadres in Nepal

The cadres of the Revolutionary Left Wing(Nepal)- a Maoists splinter led by Mani Thapa today May 21, 2009, set an Indian Container on fire in Kathmandu.

The incident took place in Naikap area of the capital, early morning.

The Container carrying fruits with Indian registration number,B. E. A 5991 has been completely destroyed, reports reveal.

Mr. Mani Thapa had warned the Cinema Theatre owners in the capital to stop screening Hindi movies and imposed a ban on India registered vehicles in Kathmandu for five days beginning Sunday May 17, 2009.

“In the first phase, the ban will be effective from May 17 to May 21, 2009…we will soon declare Kathmandu free of foreign movies and Indian vehicles”, Mr. Thapa had said at a gathering in Banepa of Kavre district, recently.
